Biography
Liz is a patent agent with more than 20 years of experience in Intellectual Property. Liz has diverse and extensive experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, and she has worked with clients providing strategic portfolio management and research related to patentability, validity and freedom to operate. She enjoys working with entrepreneurs and small and mid-size companies.
Liz’s practice has been in the chemistry, material science and color science arts, for technologies such as optical films for LCD and OLED electronic display devices, battery constructions, solar energy panels and lighting constructions, silicone and other chemistries for LED encapsulation, thin film coating, adhesives, nanocomposites, semiconductors, dye and pigment chemistries and related color science for digital printing.
Liz worked as a Patent Agent for 3M Co. She also worked for Eastman Kodak Co., as an Intellectual Property Specialist for their inkjet printing business, and as a Research Scientist specializing in dye chemistry, inkjet inks and recording elements leading to over 30 U.S. patents as an inventor. Liz is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her doctorate in organic chemistry and the University of Illinois-Chicago where she received her bachelor of science in chemistry.
