Biography
Bill Anderson is a registered patent attorney and has been a licensed attorney in Minnesota since 1994. Bill has diverse and extensive experience in various aspects of intellectual property law developed in private practice, and he spent a number of years “in-house” acquiring significant additional business law experience. Bill’s practice focuses primarily on trademark and patent searches, opinions, prosecution, and development, both domestic and foreign; patent and trademark portfolio assessment and management; infringement and validity evaluations; litigation support; IP licensing; and client counseling on a wide variety of patent, trademark and copyright matters. Bill’s IP experience is in a variety of technical fields, including the chemical, biological, animal science, and mechanical arts. Bill has a penchant for interviewing and brainstorming with businesses/inventors to fully develop their ideas and business strategies for practical, long term benefit. Bill earned his B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1989 with a major in Chemistry and further focus on Biology and Mathematics. He earned his J.D. from the Hamline University School of Law in 1994. Prior to law school, Bill worked at Solvay Animal Health, Inc. as a member of the Analytical Support Group in vaccine development and other animal science activities. Bill resides in Plymouth, Minnesota and enjoys golf, outdoor and hunting activities, and being active in church and politics, helping his son on his journey to Eagle Scout and supporting his daughter’s rowing and artistic endeavors.
